FLORIDA KEYS CHAPTER CAPTAIN EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER
Natalia Duke grew up and currently lives in the Florida Keys; from hurricane devastation to sea level rise, she continues to see the effects of climate change in her hometown. Natalia serves on the Monroe County Climate Change Advisory Committee whose purpose is to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding appropriate mitigation and adaptation policies needed to address climate change.
Natalia is a graduate of the Climate Reality Leadership Corp and currently offers community presentations on the climate crisis.
As the daughter of a Cuban refugee, she is extremely passionate about immigrant justice and immigration reform. Natalia is a founding member of Keys Immigrant Coalition (KIC). For many years, Natalia taught English as a Second Language to immigrants from all over the world and is working on a project to bring ESL classes into the Monroe County ICE detention center.
