Natalia Duke

FLORIDA KEYS CHAPTER CAPTAIN
EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER

Natalia grew up and currently lives in the Florida Keys; from hurricane devastation to sea level rise, she continues to see the effects of climate change in her hometown.  She serves on the Monroe County Climate Change Advisory Committee, whose purpose is to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding appropriate mitigation and adaptation policies needed to address climate change.

Natalia is a graduate of and currently mentors for the Climate Reality Leadership Corps.  She currently offers community presentations on the climate crisis.

As the daughter of a Cuban refugee, she is extremely passionate about immigrant justice and immigration reform.   After receiving her Master's Degree from NYU, Natalia returned home to the Keys to teach  English as a Second Language in the Monroe County Adult Education Department. She is a founding member and President of Keys Immigrant Coalition (KIC) and currently leads a weekly visitation program at the Monroe County ICE detention center.
