Candidate Questionnaires

Women’s March Florida is committed to harnessing our community’s electoral power in furtherance of transformative social justice. WMFL’s questionnaire, informed by our organization’s unity principles, was sent to over 500 state and federal candidates* to assess such candidates’ stances on Environmental Justice, Affordable Housing, Reproductive Justice, Police Brutality and Criminalization of People of Color, Gun Reform, Self-Determination and Economic Justice for Puerto Rico, Voting Restoration, LGBTQIA Justice, Pay Equity and Fair Minimum Wage, Medical Expansion, Public Employee Union Support, Public School Funding, Criminalization of Migration, and Disability Rights.

The candidates that scored at least 90% will receive a Women’s March Florida Candidate “Powering to the Polls” Distinction that reflects their commitment to dismantling systems of oppression and building inclusive structures guided by self-determination, dignity and respect.

*WMFL is a 100% volunteer-run organization in which best efforts were used to gather as many candidates’ emails/contact info as possible. We accept and expect a good faith effort on behalf of the candidates to answer these questions honestly and to the best of their abilities.
