Containment not detainment

This is a a sample video to post before the April 29th to promote the Day of Action! This video was inspired by the women in the South Louisiana ICE detention center whose call for help went viral on social media. Wear orange in solidarity when you make your own.

On April 29th, Women's March Florida is launching a national day of action to reduce the population in jails and detention centers to stop the spread of COVID-19. 

Help us shine a light on the injustices and inhumanity in the criminal justice system and ICE detention centers; specifically the unjust impacts on women, girls, and gender non-conforming folks.

  2. Send Press Release to all media contacts
  3. Create/invite folks to Facebook/Eventbrite events
  4. Social media: schedule posts and/or host a livestream Q+A for your members and friends (sample posts in toolkit), record video for sharing, change profile picture to orange square graphic at bottom of this page.
